THE PROBLEM

Many industries use document management systems, and these systems rely on correctly organized document schemas. These are typically user owned and managed, but, at some point, it becomes unwieldy to use and so confusion and disorganization set in causing the previously strict hierarchy to be misused.

In the case of regulated industries, specific legislation regarding data management (content, security, ownership, retention/disposal) are in place in most western countries. Therefore, the ability to scan data based on a template applying the relevant regulatory requirements and report on compliance and non-compliance on a regular basis would be both a risk-management tool and a regulatory reporting time-saver.
